- Avoid food, drinks other than water, and toothbrushing before your morning sample and for two hours before your bedtime sample.
- Rinse your mouth with water and wait five minutes before collecting.
- Fill each tube at least halfway, excluding bubbles.
- Label each tube with your name, collection date and time.
- Record all medications and hormone treatments on your requisition form.
- Freeze samples if they will not be shipped within 24 hours.
