How to Collect Your Sample
We are committed to making lab testing simple! The short videos below show how to collect a dried blood spot, saliva or dried urine sample for testing.
We also provide links to printer-friendly instructions at the bottom of this page.
If you have additional questions, please contact us by email or phone.
Before You Collect Your Sample
Start by checking the name of your test and the sample type listed on your kit. Choose the video and written instructions that match your test. Some profiles use more than one sample type, so you may need the combined instructions rather than a guide for saliva, blood spot or urine alone.
Read the instructions supplied with your kit before opening the collection materials. Check for any requirements about preparation, collection times, labelling, drying, storage and returning your samples. These details can differ between tests. Use this page to support the instructions for your specific kit, not to replace them.
If you are unsure which guide applies, or if the information on this page differs from the instructions in your kit, contact us before collecting. Do not change prescribed medicines or hormone treatment for a test without advice from your prescribing healthcare professional.
Saliva Collection Video
Watch this video for an overview of saliva sample collection. For the collection schedule and preparation requirements for your profile, follow your kit's written instructions. If your test includes several samples, check the instructions for each collection before you begin.
Blood Spot Collection Video
Use this video alongside the blood spot instructions supplied with your kit. Read the guidance on using the collection materials, applying the sample to the card and allowing it to dry. If you have difficulty collecting a sample, ask for help rather than guessing how to proceed.
Urine Collection Video
This video introduces dried urine sample collection. Select the written guide for your particular test, as urine profiles can have different collection schedules. Before returning your kit, check its instructions for drying, packaging, labelling and any accompanying paperwork.
