All-Day Cortisol Saliva Test: Four-Point Collection Guide

The four-point cortisol saliva instructions match the S-120 All Day Cortisol tests for men and women. The panel measures cortisol at four times across one day: morning, noon, evening and night. Plan the four collection times

The product instructions say to collect the morning sample within 30 minutes of waking and before 9 a.m. Collect the other samples at noon, evening and night, following the exact times in your kit. Set reminders and record the actual collection time for each tube so the lab can interpret the daily pattern correctly.

Prepare for the samples

The product pages say no fasting is required. For saliva collection, the general Saliva Collection Instructions say to avoid food, drinks other than water and brushing your teeth for at least two hours before each sample. Collect and label each tube

1. Use a separate supplied tube for each of the four timepoints, in the order shown in the instructions.
2. Let saliva pool in your mouth and transfer it to the tube as directed. Fill to the level specified in the kit, avoiding bubbles.
3. Cap each tube securely and label it with your name, date and actual collection time.
4. Keep the samples separate and repeat at morning, noon, evening and night according to your timetable.

Store and return the samples

Place the labelled tubes in the supplied bag and follow the kit for refrigeration or freezing before shipment. The general saliva guide says to freeze samples that will not be shipped within 24 hours. Complete the paperwork and return the samples using the kit’s packaging and carrier instructions. The product pages list results within 3–5 working days after the laboratory receives the samples.
