Related Symptoms

Difficulty conceiving, irregular menstrual cycles, poor ovulation patterns, hormonal symptoms, stress-related symptoms, low energy and fatigue, previous pregnancy difficulties, possible thyroid concerns, symptoms associated with PCOS, or a desire to assess fertility status proactively.

Who Should Consider This Test?

  • Couples or individuals actively trying to conceive
  • Women with irregular, absent, or painful menstrual cycles
  • Women with symptoms associated with PCOS or low ovarian reserve
  • Those with previous pregnancy difficulties or recurrent miscarriage
  • Men wanting to assess testosterone, DHEAS, and cortisol as drivers of fertility health
  • Anyone with stress-related symptoms that may be affecting reproductive function
  • Those with unexplained fatigue, low libido, or hormonal symptoms without a clear diagnosis
  • Anyone with possible thyroid concerns affecting fertility or cycle regularity
  • Those wanting to understand their reproductive hormone status proactively before trying to conceive

Why This Test Is Particularly Important

  • Hormones play a central role in ovulation, egg quality, sperm production, stress response, thyroid function, and overall reproductive health - and hormonal imbalances can affect both women and men
  • The 4-point cortisol profile identifies whether chronic stress is disrupting the hypothalamic-pituitary axis that governs the entire reproductive cycle - something a single cortisol value cannot detect
  • Thyroid dysfunction is one of the most common and most correctable causes of cycle irregularity, anovulation, and fertility difficulties - yet TPO antibodies are almost never included in standard fertility panels
  • FSH and LH together assess ovarian reserve and pituitary signalling - while SHBG determines how much sex hormone is actually bioavailable and affecting fertility outcomes
  • This test combines saliva LCMS sex hormones with blood spot thyroid and fertility markers in a single at-home kit - the most comprehensive at-home fertility panel available

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this test suitable for both men and women?
Yes. The panel includes markers relevant to both female and male reproductive health - cortisol rhythm, sex hormones, FSH, LH, SHBG, and thyroid function. The specialist interpretation will be tailored to your sex and results.

When in my cycle should I collect my samples?
Guidance on optimal cycle timing is included in the kit. For most women, collecting during the luteal phase (typically days 19-21 of a 28-day cycle) provides the most clinically meaningful progesterone and oestrogen values.

Why is thyroid function included in a fertility test?
Thyroid dysfunction - including Hashimoto's thyroiditis detected by TPO antibodies - is one of the most common correctable causes of cycle irregularity, anovulation, and fertility difficulties. It is frequently missed in standard fertility panels that do not include thyroid markers.

Why is the cortisol profile included?
Chronic cortisol elevation suppresses progesterone via pregnenolone steal, disrupts the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, impairs T4-to-T3 thyroid conversion, and reduces DHEAS - all of which directly impact fertility. The 4-point profile identifies which time of day is driving this disruption.

Does the price include the laboratory fee?
Yes. The full laboratory analysis fee is included in the purchase price. There are no additional charges. You are only responsible for posting your samples to the laboratory.

How long is the kit valid for?
The kit must be used within 12 months of the purchase date.
